My Bio

Who I Am

I am a 30 year old neuroodivergent , lesbian Woman! Born and raised in Illinois. I attended Aurora University and recieved both my Bachelors and Masters in Social Work!

I have always had a passion for helping people. I have been able to do so in every job I have worked. Whether it was helping students in my dance classes, running individual and group therapy sessions for my mental health and addictions clients, or making people smile in my mascot costume!

September 2018-

Mascot Coordinator, Carolina Hurricanes

Managed office activities by maintaining communication between clients, tracking records and filing all documents. ● Developed and executed innovative strategies for revitalizing entertainment programs. ● Took extra care connecting with children, disabled fans and VIPs to strengthen organizational loyalty. ● Held special one-on-one sessions with fans and attended charity events to capitalize on diverse promotional strategies. ● Prepared quotes for new products and services and composed budgets. ● Trained new employees in specific job requirements. ● Served on the Diversity Committee and Employee Engagement Committee

Responsibilities included: Head coach of the Foxettes Competitive dance team, Head coach of the Flyaways competitive hip hop team; coaching recreational poms, hip hop, early childhood gymnastics, level 1 gymnastics, and cheernastics classes; organizing and run poms and hip hop committee meetings, and attending various community events as Parker the fox the Fox Valley Park District's mascot.

MSW, Aurora University

In Graduate school, I Interned at Silver Cross Hospital in the Behavioral Health's Partial hospitalization program. I ran large and small therapy and educational groups. I also organized patient charts, wrote progress notes, planned group topics, wrote treatments plans and performed intake assessments on new patients.

August 2009- May 2013

BSW, Aurora University

I pursued a Bachelor of Social Work Degree with a specialization in Addictions Counseling in Undergraduate school. I interned at Abraxas Interventions- a residential drug rehabilitation program. I  co-lead small groups and also had a few individuals that I had individual counseling with. I organized charts, planned groups, wrote progress notes, and wrote treatment plans.

Sexual Assault Advocacy

After the horrible news broke about the abuse Kyle Beach endured while a member of the Blackhawks organization, followed by the weak response from the NHL I decided to use my platform to advocate for survivors before a game against the Blackhawks
